"Brilliant hoilday. Would definitely go."

"The the staff were amazing. We couldn’t fault anything. On arrival we checked in at reception to be greeted with our room information and all information relevant to the hotel such as parking and food. We were shown to our room which was lovely very comfortable bed and the shower was amazing. We popped over for dinner and had our son and grandson join us. Our grandson has a peanut allergy. They took this on board and catered for all of us. Dinner was a delight. We stayed here last year when visiting our son in Northumberland, but stayed somewhere else after. On choosing a hotel for this visit, this one one hands down for the friendly, staff clean room and fabulous food. Thank you"

"Dolphin cottage is a spacious and good budget rental. The washer and dryer in the outbuilding are very useful. I found the sofas in the living room a little uncomfortable. The shower is good and works well. The town of Newbiggin itself is a bit quiet."

"The house when you go in looks nice, but then when you look properly the maintenance is horrible the house is very dirty specially the kitchen the oven, the fan and the hob are terrible, we had to clean the cutelry, the mugs are dirty, there is broken glass in the cuboard to, and we had to buy a pan becouse the one that was there is not in conditionsthe bedding looks clean, but we had to take the sheets of as a rule of the house when you leave and the matresses and pillows are yellowWe had no hot water but they fixed it in the same day but we had to reply for and asnwer if it was fixed becouse we were out."

"Swan Studios is perfect when visiting family and friends. Its self contained so can come and go without worry. Rooms are clean with a fridge and microwave if needed. We have stayed here now on several occasions and the standard has been the same. Looking forward to our next stay"

"Clean and comfortable. We had a 3 night stay.Unfortunately on our last day in the morning, the outside drain blocked, the bathroom flooded and we were unable to use the toilet all day. We waited till 4pm when finally the plumber came. The help-line lady was very polite and nice but only informed us about 3pm that we could have left the keys in the key safe for the plumber at our own responsibility. We emailed "Stay with us" privately on return on 20th August to complain and asked for compensation given that we lost a day of our holiday. It is now 28th August and we are still awaiting a responsefrom them!The staircase was very steep and had no handrail and there was no bath mat or anti-slip surface . The garden was a mess with brambles and weeds everywhere. No outside furniture at all. Both the handrail and garden issue had already been mentioned by another reviewer a few months ago but obviously nothing had been done. Therefore we would not recommend this property. "
