Starý Smokovec and Hrebienok itself offer many opportunities for a good time. Right next to the building there is a station of the cableway to Hrebienok, where an attractive sledding track leads in winter and it is also a place where your eyes will be delighted by the ice sculptures or the Ice Church. There is also an attractive gallery Kvantarium. The small family ski area Jakubková luka is approx. 200m from the apartment. The well-known ski resorts of Tatranská Lomnica and Štrbské Pleso are 10-25 minutes away by car. Some tours are also suitable for families with children: Rainer's mountain hut Studenovodské Waterfalls or Zamkovského mountain hut.
Also the ascent to the to Popradské pleso lake or the Skok waterfall, Jamské Pleso are tours suitable for families. It depends, of course, on the condition of the children. The braver tourists will also reach Téry 's cottage and Zbojnícka cottage. or even higher - Prielom to Lysá Poľana or through Sedielko to Javorina. As for the ascents to the Tatra peaks, I recommend Kôprovský štít in the Mengusovská valley.
If you leave early in the morning, you can have it for yourself. With a mountain guide, you can also reach unmarked peaks. Touristic paths are rocky so good quality footwear is essential. Relaxing days or bad weather can be nicely spent in the Belianska Cave or in one of art galleries. My favorite is a unique digital gallery Poliankovo in Tatranská Polianka. You can relax in one of the surrounding wellness centers or head to nearby Poprad for thermal Aquacity or Vrbov.
