"Incredibly small room with only a sink and a shared shower and toilet down a long hall. Had two for women and two for men for a lot of rooms. Can’t depend on those being available when by you need them. Most guests are on same timetable for tour groups! On top of that, you need to go get a key from another location before you get into your room. Hard to find on road at end of town. The worse part is the price is not budget like the accommodations are - price was over $200/night before taxes! But...

"Simple and peaceful hotel. Perfect as a base for exploring the area. Conveniently located steps from the train station and an easy walk to the center of town as well as the lake. My room was spare yet very functional. It might have been tight for two people but it worked great for me as a solo traveler. The breakfast buffet was delightful. Highly recommended."

"Good location for day trips to Bergen, Gol, and Flåm for Norway in a Nutshell This is a large hotel that hosts large tour groups. Thus some of the hallways and rooms are a bit worn. Breakfast was nice. There is decent public parking nearby that is free overnight. As with most of the country, restaurants close up early so plan accordingly."
