"DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL!!! I booked a four night stay 11-May to 15-May and paid in advance IN FULL through Expedia. My flight was delayed and I arrived on 12-May. I advised the hotel in advance that I would be delayed on the email address on their website and asked that they hold my reservation (no response). However, when I arrived they had cancelled my booking, resold the room and there were no other rooms available, so at midnight on 12-May I was turned away. The hotel had absolutely no care in the world that it was midnight and I had no where to stay that evening. It is clear the hotel suffered no financial loss as a result of my 'no show' on 11-May as they had already been paid and they resold the room. So actually they have been paid twice. However, they have refused to issue me with a refund. MOST APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Goes without saying I will never be using the Aloft chain of hotels again... I hope profiteering from my misfortune was worth it..."

"Lots of construction, which is good long term. No one told me that the rooms got cleaned every other day. For a Hilton property, this is unacceptable. Half the rooms were not used because of the construction and they still couldn’t take care of the rooms for the remaining guests. WHY HIlton????"

"Has a great stay in this fantastic and well-appointed apartment. I travel often and use vacation rentals and I was impressed by how magnificently clean this apartment is. I had some small issues but the host was responsive and very helpful. There were some problems in the building that were out of the control of the host, but she really went above and beyond to do what she could to remedy them. I would happily stay here again."

"The staff is always very courteous and friendly! They always greet you whenever they see you. The hotel is IMMACULATE! Housekeeping personnel are always helpful and friendly and the rooms are always spotless. The beds are very comfortable and plush. The breakfast is amazing for being a complimentary breakfast! The lady who keeps fresh food out and everything VERY clean is SO helpful and such a nice lady! It's always a joy to talk to her. These reasons are why I use this same hotel anytime I am in Birmingham!! I wouldn't go anywhere else!"

From being greeted so nicely when I arrived to the front desk staff providing smiles and laughs, to going above and beyond to meet any requests, I found the staff to be outstanding. Would happily stay here again. "
