Very comfortable bed and a great shower. An excellent location near the Trinidade station and loads of restaurants and the main square for celebrations. A very walkable area.

Have nothing but amazing things to stay about this boutique hotel. The atmosphere is simply beautiful and very clean. The pool/outside area is such a plus especially being so close to the city it feels like a little escape on the property. View of the bridge is gorgeous especially at night. The staff was super helpful and personable. The complimentary breakfast may have been one of the best I have ever had with a wide variety of options if you’re looking for a quick bite before hitting the city or a warm meal. Service is incredible and stayed for dinner one night which was delicious. Location was perfect to me almost in between the waterfront and city so it was a short walk to both and we got to avoid the steep walk from the riverside everytime we wanted to hit the city. Overall would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

The suite we booked did not disappoint. Spotlessly clean and well equipped, overlooking the Douro river from our private balcony. Being a relatively new hotel there were a couple of minor snagging problems but nothing to detract from our stay. A special mention should go to the Guest Relations team, all of whom were extremely helpful and professional. We will definitely come back.

The reception teams should be trained as follows: 1.listening 2. Identifying the problem ( if it is the problem of the hotel, apologize immediately ) 3.helping to solve the problem ( not argue ) 4.excellent manner This 5 stars hotel was far below the 5 stares hotels in Paris, Rome........ Our first trip in Europe was back to 1980. Share these and wait for improvements.

I'll start by saying I wish I could provide 6 starts to Timbre Virtudes as it was such a great stay and hotel. It really made the visit to Portal that extra bit more enjoyable. I'll kick off by giving a shout out to their staff. They were above and beyond in all areas and departments. Everyone was always super friendly, smiling, and seemed to go out of their way to ensure everything was OK. I stay in a lot of hotels on a regular basis, and would put the Timbre Virtudes team at the top of the list in terms of friendliness and support. This is a major asset. The hotel itself is beautiful. As soon as you walk in to the foyer, it's large, extremely well decorated and well kept, and you can see it flow through from the foyer to the lounge to the restaurant. Extremely well arranged, and the hotel itself is in a beautiful building. It gave a fantastic first impression. The rooms are also lovely. We had a room with a Queen bed and a balcony, and I'd highly recommend this, because the rooms are very large, very well appointed, clean, tidy etc. We had zero complaints about the room. The bathroom was also very nice, great shower, very clean and well equipped. It was also great having the balcony and sitting out in the morning or evening after a great day in the town. Their breakfasts were absolutely worth having. I'd highly recommend. The chef will cook whatever you want (breakfast related) or you can go to the buffet. Overall, six stars and highly recommend.
