We have stayed at the Hotel Al Vagon several times, and we plan on staying there many more times in the future. This hotel is wonderful. Maurizio, and Adriano are always ready to help make your stay perfect. The accommodations are very nice. Your room has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Having said all that, it is the location that makes Hotel Vagon special. You are in the middle of everywhere you want to go to. My wife and I really love being in Venice, and staying at Hotel Vagon. Fantastic location for exploring Venice. Owner really helpful and friendly. Shame the mouldy grouting in the shower lets it down and disappointed to return to the hotel late morning to find the room unlocked and unattended, as were all the rooms on the floor, for the house keeping team. This is obviously a daily routine as it was the same on two other occasions. Could clearly see other residents belongings and bags in their rooms along the corridor. Zero security. A real shame as the hotel is in a great location.

This place is in one of the best locations for a trip to Venice. However, the facilities are inevitably old, given how long the property has been around. Still, the understated hospitality and appropriate friendliness can actually make you feel more comfortable. The room is small and carries a slight musty smell of water, but overall it’s a good place to stay.

My wife and I just spent 4 wonderful days in Venice. This was our first stay at Al Vagon, and it won't be our last. Maurizio the owner, and Adriano his manager, were very helpful, and made us feel very welcomed. Al Vagon's location is perfect. It is right in the middle of almost everything you want to see and do. The room was very comfortable, and was kept extremely clean. We love this place, and so will you. Joel and Jackie Strauss
