The Burrard is a good hotel. I had a courtyard room which was nice with the hospital right across the street. The AC unit in the room was very nice - grateful the property had that for us on such a hot day. One thing I’d change: the window coverings. There is no solid (privacy) curtains so at night other guests walking by get a very clear view into your room if the lights are on.
The Burrard is a great little hotel, quirky, retro, a lot of fun. The location is great and while I was worried about the noise from the hospital, that didn't bother us at all. The bathroom is small for toiletries, but we managed. Staff were very professional, organized and helpful. We had an easy 20 minute walk to the harbour. We did an all day walk to and through Stanley Park. We also found a grocery store nearby for a few room supplies. The room has a fridge and a coffee maker. I loved our stay there.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
When we got there, it was over 35 degrees and the ac unit was broken. About an hour later we finally got it resolved, and then twice that evening the unit overloaded the breakers, despite being the only thing plugged in, leaving us with no ac again. The next day, the ac unit flooded our room because the unit’s hose is just in a small garbage can and it overflowed during the night. This ac unit btw is about the same volume as a helicopter landing in your room, despite being barely powerful enough to drop the temperature below 30degrees in the room. Add to that there was no fan or window in the bathroom, the lotions, shampoos and what not were empty when we arrived and there was barely enough water pressure to consider it a shower. The best thing I can say about this place is that the sheets were clean and I didn’t see a bug. Save yourself the money and go stay in a hostel, I’ve definitely had a better sleep at hostels than at the burrard. Never again.
This hotel is my go to whenever I’m in Vancouver as it is one of the best in the city. The staff are amazing. The aesthetic is amazing. The location is amazing.
