We like the lodge for the whole appearance, it’s really unique and very inviting. The only complaint about the facility is the poor internet. The antenna is at the beginning of the hallway and we were in room 504 which is 3 rooms away and we could often barely get a signal. A booster or the relocation of the antenna would help. The neighborhood is not that great because of the many homeless people but that’s what happens in all cities more or less. The location is good to reach a lot of downtown by foot. Parking was also an issue since the lodge is not able to provide parking space.

Great place with fantastic rooms. Staff are friendly and always up for a chat. Are has some homelessness but also is a 10 minute walk or drive to everything you’ll wanna do downtown. Stayed for the rugby and ho key and being a 10 minute stroll from both stadiums was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Had difficulty getting into room on Saturday night. Had to wait until 11:pm for security to show up and let us in room. Door wouldn’t lock unless slammed shut.

The hotel was very clean and was decorated in beautiful aboriginal artwork. Most things were in great condition, however our toilet ran and the sink faucet had a leak. The staff was super helpful, friendly and accommodating, there just wasn’t many of them, none between 11pm and 7am. It wasn’t a problem for us, but guests who want more attentive service may be left wanting. There wasn’t much for amenities, but there was a dry sauna and continental breakfast. The area was a bit rougher, quite a few homeless and open drug use, but it didn’t feel dangerous. There was lots to do and see nearby, and plenty of choices for food. It’s also pretty close to Gastown which has lots of stuff to check out. Overall I would probably stay here again.

Highly recommend this hotel. The indigenous artwork in the lobby is beautiful but what a wonderful surprise to see the indigenous artwork in our room (we stayed in the King Salmon which had a beautiful mural on the wall which lit up)! The continental breakfast consisted of homemade yogurt dishes, banooks, and quiche. The only thing we did not like were the homeless people camped outside near the entrance, but they did not cause problems.
