Staff very friendly and helpful, bus info, advice on trips etc. The breakfast included local dishes as well as cereal, fruit, eggs etc. Only downside no “ordinary” / non Maltese fresh coffee (not instant) available."

You can find beautiful buildings and lovely breakfasts in many places, but it’s the people who turn a good hotel into an exceptional experience. Domus Zamittello gets this absolutely right. "The hotel is in a great location, quiet but close to the main town.The taxi had to drop us in the nearby street, but that wasn’t a problem. It was an easy walk to the Upper Barrakka Gardens, where the lift takes you down to the ferry stops for the 3 cities and Gozo. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was efficient and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The area where it is served can be a bit crowded, but did not cause us any problems."
