Perfect quiet hotel away from the busy tourist area. Uroa is good if you want privacy and all inclusive resort with excellent staff. Great food and alcohol options
Good standard of cleanliness in rooms, beds turned down every night, as well as spraying with repellant every evening. All team were super friendly, especially Joyce, Generozza, Happiness- all first class. Pascal-head chef, always wanted feedback to ensure all food met expectations- which was varied, fr3sh and really tasty. Would highly recommend and would certainly think about coming back.

Directly on the beach. Nice poolarea. Friendly personell. Great value for money! Highly recommended!
I enjoyed my stay here at The Dreams Hotel. All the staff were very nice, and I really liked the pool area and Beach location. My room was clean, decorated beautifully and the ocean suite view was absolutely breath taking. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
This place was fantastic. Large rooms that was brand new and had all we wanted. Fantastic staff and the pool area and beach was also perfect even though the tide was big.
Beautiful hotel next to an amazing beach with a great pool and bar. The service is excellent, the rooms and bathrooms are big and comfortable. The location is convenient, it’s a good value because everything is included. I’ll definitely stay here again. The only issue is the water pressure in the shower. Loved this place, thank you to all the staff for making me feel at home.
Overall, this is a beautiful boutique hotel. I booked it last minute and was pretty happy with the aesthetic. The staff was amazing — very polite, attentive, and appreciative of our needs.
The only issue I had was with the food. Everything was overcooked, and each chafer at breakfast was nearly empty, with only about 1–2 servings left in each. It was disappointing. I also ordered fish sticks from the bar, and they came out much darker than expected. At first, I assumed that was just their style, until I saw another guest receive a perfectly golden-brown order.
Overall, I liked the hotel, but I wouldn’t stay
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Brand new hotel so the property is lovely. Good size for keeping an eye on young kids.
Overall very impressed and would strongly recommend.
Inclusive with the exception of top shelf liquors like McCallan 18. Excellent food. Wait staff was superb. Property was spotless clean. Beautiful pool with plenty of umbrellas and loungers. Wonderful new home away from home for us.
Food was excellent - particularly prawn grill nights, service very attentive. All inclusive took the pressure off finding food locally. While the beach was cleaned each day, there is an unfortunate amount of rubbish from the locals - not something the hotel can control.
More access to water would have been good.
Many minor repairs are needed, like taps, locks air con, but as they say in Africa pole pole.
Great stay, we enjoyed the hotel.
We recently stayed at Dream of Zanzibar and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The rooms were comfortable and clean, offering a relaxing and well-maintained space. The all-inclusive meal plan offered a nice variety of options, from local dishes to international favorites, all of which were tasty and satisfying.
The pool area was a nice spot to relax and enjoy the tropical setting. Service was friendly and attentive throughout my stay. Considering the affordable rates, I was impressed by the overall quality of the hotel, especially the food and service.
All in all, Dream of Zanzibar offers great value for the price, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Zanzibar.
Great facilities, very nice staff, various new food every day. The only remark is the beach which witnesses a very high tide, so swimming is impossible in the morning till around 2PM. But you can use this time to visit the island. Other than that, everyone is helpful and attends to your needs. Definitely recommend.

My stay at Dream of Zanzibar was fantastic! The suite was incredibly spacious, clean, and accommodating. The staff made sure the refrigerator stayed fully stocked, which was a nice touch. Although the food could have been more diverse, it was still good during my stay. I appreciated that room service was available 24 hours, with a specific list of foods to choose from, making dining convenient. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but there's room for improvement in the food variety department.
A truly exceptional hotel! The second you arrive, the staff are courteous and kind. Nothing is too much for them and they all make attempts to learn your name for a personal experience.
The pool/beach area was perfect, with plenty of sunbeds to avoid a morning rush. Arrive at any time of the day and there are many beds available.
The food and drink is great - with a different variety each night to avoid repetitiveness.
The rooms are all very large. They offer a turndown service each evening.
The grounds are very well maintained and everything is just perfect to have a few days relaxing.
Will 100% be returning for a relaxing few days.
The restaurant is very dismal. They only allow food on the second floor which makes it very restricted on seating etc. Some staff are clearly not interested in serving guests. There's very restricted option on drinks (non-alcoholic). In the breakfast there's no orange juice. Food itself is ok. The lighting in the second floor is really not for a dinner environment. It feels really like a mess-hall for a dinner. They need to open the first floor so people can sit on the patio area on the bar to eat etc. What is up with the restriction? The after drinks can also be served directly from the bar so employees don't have to walk up and down for a glass of wine etc.
Don't miss out on the movie nights on the beach. This was my personal highlight of the stay, and also the room service convenience (albeit no real options of food). The beach itself isn't really nice to swim (the sand is too muddy, but locals had no issues, also they recommend not to walk barefoot on the sand --> theres' some type of spikes around (natural?) the beach area.
Do not stay on Sunday nights here as the neighboring hotel will blast music till 0100 am. The staff even hate this, but the management obviously have given up on this issue. (Wednesdays too)
Try to get a second floor room or a first floor room away from the stairways. You just get more privacy. Swimming in the pool just 1 hour before sunset is the best time. No one around and quiet. There was a lot of breeze during our stay.
Our stay was great, their food was great but the drinks were not the best. They didn’t know how to make Margaritas, and Pina Coladas.Manager was great but incurred some extra cost when we arrived at the facility and some didn’t make sense. There massage parlor was good but overpriced.lastly they turn off water and WiFi on the day of check out at midnight even before you leave which was the craziest thing I have ever seen!!
