We spend hours at the Museum of Anthropology located adjacent to the University of British Columbia.
Gardens and anthropology museum can be done in one day with lunch.
Museum is great
MOA is excellent, beautiful collection of native crafts, artifacts.
The UBC Museum of Anthroplogy is quite moving -- many totem poles and artefacts of Pacific First Peoples. The UBC also has rather nice botanical gardens with a canopy walk. Near UBC are beaches where one can go out hundreds of yards on the tidal flats at low tide, with stunning views of Vancouver and all the giant ships in the channel waiting to come in.
The Museum of Anthropology is really worth a visit.
