"The lodging is in an absolutely beautiful, peaceful setting, with a historic train car on the property, complete with narrative to read, and surrounded by a variety of pines & firs & other mountain greenery. The staff was helpful, especially with regard to finding places in the historic small city. Unfortunately, the room we were in was not in the best repair, with a shaggy shower curtain & a closet where the bottom of the door was not attached to the floor. Looked like it could use some touch up painting as well. If I were to go there again, I think I would check the room first & ask for another if it was not up to par!"

"We found the spot last minute due to rain making camping difficult. They were very helpful and accommodating for our late check in. Much less expensive than staying in Nevada City while still being an easy 10 min drive back to town to explore downtown Nevada City and get dinner. In the morning we had a good/filling buffet style breakfast before getting back on the road to explore the country roads and swimming holes. Will be recommending to friends as an easy alternative to camping when exploring the Tahoe National Forest and Yuba River areas."
