Amazing location, lovely room
Great central spot! Fun rooms, the most comfortable bed and quality linens, feather pillows etc. A few quirks that are very understandable in a historic building in the middle of town (sometimes loud at night) but they have thought about little things like ear plugs and noise machine.
Great for a couple on a mid week getaway
Cute and comfortable. They did a beautiful job with an older building. The check in process was a little confusing because I thought it was a hotel - know its more like a VRBO. If you can’t carry bags up steep stairs this place may not work for you. Not an ADA friendly place. The cafe below it was fantastic and friendly, wonderful little bars, shops and restaurants in walking distance.
Wonderful historic building, right in the heart of town. Very comfortable beds and very clean and updated bathrooms. Great communication with host was appreciated. Would have loved to have had a kitchenet but overall, loved our stay and would absolutely recommend!
Incredible location in the middle of historic Nevada City. Beautiful room and large bathroom. Easy walk to excellent restaurants. A steep stair climb upon entry' though.
Room was lovely and centrally located in town to coffee shops, restaurants and shops. The coffee shop downstairs of the inn has best coffee and baked goods in town. Great place to hang out.
The major downside was parking. Street and lot parking limited to 3 to 4 hours till 6pm. So needed to move car and hope to find an another open space. Weekends and holidays particularly bad. We bailed shopping in Nevada City during day for nearby grass Valley for that reason. Perhaps off season would be a better parking experience
The suites are adorable but please note there is NO parking and this can be a real inconvenience. Plan to park a few blocks away. We had to bring our luggage about five blocks because the whole town is either hourly metered or 4 hour parking lots and the absolutely do enforce we saw the meter guy often. Otherwise the suite was clean, adorable, and good location if you want to be right downtown. Also there is no elevator so you have to bring luggage up a steep staircase as well.
We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect location to be able to easily walk around, it was beautiful old school downtown. The room was clean, next time if we were to stay we would get the king size room, the queen room was a little small for two adults. Other than that everything was clean, the owners were responsive to letting us check in early. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.
We have been getting coffee and food from the communal cafe in the heart of Nevada city for some time and it is our favorite spot, we rented a room for a family member and couldn’t be happier! It was easy self check in right upstairs! Perfect!
Freshly renovated and beautiful. Comfy beds. Good value for a family of 4. Great location. The cons: no dedicated parking — all street meters or public, off-street lot and very, very noisy (from the street) on the weekends. Ear plugs are provided, which is great, but if you’re a light sleeper, this might not be the place for you. Would give a 10/10 if not for the noise. Would probably stay there again.
Clean and comfortable!!!
One of the most comfortable beds we’ve experienced in a while, we slept great!
They offered ear plugs but I found it quiet and relaxing but maybe it’s an off season.
We had issues with the first room we booked so we got upgraded to the larger king room with a separate double bed guest bedroom and half bath. So needless to say, I now want a second bathroom everywhere we stay, so enjoyable.
Right in Main Street so we could walk down and enjoy lunch and dinner.
No coffee maker in the room but they have a cafe downstairs and numerous coffee shops near by. We did Java Jon’s across the street the first morning and threw forks brewery the second morning. Both delicious and a close walk.
We ate at the taqueria the first night, very nice and simple food.
We drove into grass valley the second day and Newcastle. Everything is an easy drive, Nevada city is a great town to spend the day in and a chocolate shop across the street, what more could you ask for!
It is a lovely room. One thing to keep in mind. Room 1and 2 both face the Main Street. This is both a blessing and a curse. It is wonderful to
Open the windows/doors and be apart of the outside. But….. even with windows/doors shut it can be loud. Below you is a cafe that opens at 6:30 am. A bar across the street. That had a wedding party whopping it up. Yelling up and down the street way after midnight. They did provide ear plugs. All in all it was a lovely time. Next time we may stay in a room more towards the back of the place.
No hot waster. No reading lights. Couldn’t use t,v. comfortable bed, nice bathroom, large room.

The room was clean and comfortable.
It was easy to walk around the town. Parking in the town was a bit trouble to park overnight. By the way, be sure to carry light luggage because the stairs up to the hotel room are a little steep. I have a knee issue.
For the most part we didn’t have any issues or complaints. The room was nice and bed was very comfortable. The carpet seemed like it needed to be cleaned or replaced. One issue that I had that was minor had to do with coffee. Although it was nice that the room came with 2 free coffee vouchers for the downstairs cafe, it was a little annoying to have to wait in a long line to get it. Perhaps a small coffee station upstairs in the small public seating area with the couch would be a good idea for the guests staying at the hotel. The location was great and we did have a great time.
