"We as a family of 5 + a 3 yr old spent a delightful week at Penuwch Fach in July/August 2024. We were attending an interment and celebration of life nearby so the location was perfect. "Delightful shepherd’s hut set in the mid-Wales countryside. Well equipped and maintained and very comfortable, it was just right for our long weekend visiting friends in the area. The bed was comfortable and the small kitchen and shower room met our needs. "From arriving to departure the owner and staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We went B&B, plus evening meal, which was well worth it. Big mention to three of the staff Will, Osian “Fish” and Willow who really went out of their way to make sure our 3 night stay was very memorable. Will definitely be trying the sister hotel in Dolgellau in the near future."

"Received a warm welcome when we arrived and were directed to our room. We stayed in one of the Suites which are in a separate building from the pub, with outside steps leading down to the pub. The car can be taken up a steep slope where there is dedicated parking for each Suite room. We enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast each morning, which was consistently delicious for the 3 days of our stay. Pre-booking is advisable for evening meals, and these were always lovely. Our Suite room was huge with a sofa (can be turned into a bed and would be ideal for a family) chair, dressing table, plenty of storage space, drawers and hanging. Lots of plug sockets. TV, tea and coffee making plus a fridge. It was cool weather during our stay and the bathroom had a heated floor which was welcome. Large walk in shower plus separate bath. Lots of windows so the place is bright and airy. Balcony with table and chairs with wonderful views overlooking the Estuary. Comfortable bed."
