"We had a lovely stay ant the location is as expected in a great little part of the national park. The place is as in the pictures and whilst we didnt use the pool it looks fab and the hot tub was ideal. The local restaurant was very welcoming and the nearby old bridge could hsve been a scene out of Brigadoon..... fantastic. There are the useual few quirkes with staying in older remote towns but it shouldn't put you off as presumably if you are looking at staying here you will appreciate that...

"The property was in an excellent location. Walking distance from grocery stores, restaraunts and a wonderful walking path along the Duoro. Having an outside patio with a view of the river was was a relaxing place to spend our time. The patio furnature was comfortable, the swimming pool was refreshing. "This apartment could not be better placed for a visit to the charming town of Chaves. The accommodation is very classy and the kitchen is fully equipped. The only criticism is that it is big enough to be really comfortable for 2 people but the final touch of decent lounge furniture really de values the experience. There is no way you can sit and relax on the 1 settee provided. There is ton to create a lovely lounge area, but this has not been done."

"From check in to departure, we could not have asked for a more wonderful experience. Every member of the staff was welcoming, beyond accommodating, and made our stay a truly memorable experience. This is also the most beautiful and well-maintained property I have ever visited, and was such a peaceful, relaxing escape from the major cities. I also greatly appreciated that the property only accommodates a small number of guests, which made the stay feel very private and intimate, while still allowing guests the opportunity to get to know one another. I would highly recommend Quinta do Vallado if you are planning to stay in the Douro Valley."

"Wonderful stay with one minor critique!We had a fantastic time during our stay here. The staff was incredibly welcoming, the service was top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was excellent. Everything from the check-in process to the overall comfort of the room exceeded our expectations.The only area that could use an improvement is the bathroom, which felt a bit dated. However, everything was perfectly clean and fully functional, so it didn't take away from our experience. 9/10- We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!!"
