Loved the location of this hotel up in the hills above Pinhao. Wonderful views from our balcony down over the terraced vineyards to the Douro river below. Incredibly quiet and peaceful spot. Also liked the hotel bar. There’s not much going on in Pinhao at night, but the LBV bar has a nice gathering of guests from all over and a good menu of salads, drinks and other light fare. Rooms are small as with just about all new boutique hotels these days, but very clean snd nice.

We stayed for two nights and were treated well by the staff. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, and the pool provided a great addition. Overall, the climb from the train station and river was worthwhile.

Pool overlooking the valley is the selling point. Breakfast is typical european but since there are only 11 rooms it feels more like bed and Breakfast. Joanna is a big plus.

This place far exceeded my expectations. The room was beautiful, fancy rain shower in the bathroom, large balcony overlooking the valley. It’s not a big place, maybe 12 rooms in total, so it was very quiet. The pool was lovely, also overlooking the valley. Breakfast was included and it was a great variety. Staff are very friendly and no language barrier for English. It’s up the hill about a 15 min walk from the train station and main area of the town. I highly recommend this as a place to stay in Pinhao.

Incroyable hôtel pour son emplacement, son personnel attentionné, sa propreté, ses petits déjeuners complets, etc. Malheureusement, un point faible, le matelas dans notre chambre était vraiment trop fermé à notre goût, plutôt dur.

LBV did not disappoint. It was very close to all the vineyards we wanted to visit. The pool was very refreshing at the end of the day. The rooms are very comfortable and spectacular views. The shower pressure was also great. The breakfast buffet was very varied and delicious. Even had gluten free bread upon request. I would highly recommend staying here.
