"Quel séjour formidable dans cette maison ancienne et familiale, perdue dans la montagne ! Cette maison est immense, traditionnelle, et surtout, chargée de 150 ans d'histoire. Il y a des photos de famille et du village très émouvantes, c'était bouleversant d'imaginer la vie qui a pu exister dans ce hameau. "I had the incredible chance to stay at the world’s oldest hotel, and it genuinely lived up to its legend. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was stepping into a different era — not in a museum-like way, but in a quiet, living continuation of tradition. The surroundings are stunning: mountains, rivers, pure silence. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down and just be. The hot springs were a highlight — natural, healing, and beautifully maintained. I left feeling physically and mentally reset. Meals were exceptional — local, seasonal, prepared with real care and balance. You can tell this isn’t just hospitality, it’s heritage passed down through generations. The staff were some of the kindest and most thoughtful people I’ve ever met. Discreet but always there when needed, with a level of attention that feels almost forgotten in today’s world. It’s more than a hotel — it’s an experience of Japanese culture, stillness, and deep respect for nature. I honestly hope my descendants can visit this place another 1,300 years from now. It’s worth preserving forever."

"This ryokan was beautiful with a spacious room and great mountain views. The onsen was particularly nice with indoor and outdoor mineral baths, a cold plunge, and a sauna. There was also a private shower in our room if you aren’t interested in the onsen experience. The half board was good but served traditional local Japanese food - great for the adventurous eater but it may not be for everyone. Though I found enough familiar things to feel full at dinner and breakfast. It was a special place, great for relaxation but probably not appropriate for children. We wished we had more days there to soak in the natural surroundings and just relax. "

"I recently stayed at Komagane Kogen Resort Linx, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, making check-in quick and seamless. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed. The view from the window was stunning, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. The highlight of my stay was definitely the hot spring. The onsen was well-maintained, with crystal-clear, soothing water at the perfect temperature. The serene setting made it the ideal place to unwind after a long day. There were both indoor and outdoor options, allowing me to enjoy the peaceful surroundings while soaking in the warm, mineral-rich water. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious, offering a variety of fresh and well-prepared dishes. The overall service was top-notch, and every staff member I encountered was polite and eager to help. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with comfortable accommodations and an amazing hot spring experience, I highly recommend Komagane Kogen Resort Linx. I will definitely be returning in the future!"
