About this property

Relaxing Catskill Mountain Cottage.

  • 1,000 sq ft. cottage, located on a seven acre, partially wooded property in the Catskills. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and sliding glass doors opening onto a deck and looking out towards the forest.

    Two, private bedrooms with one queen and one full bed. Wood burning stove with plenty of firewood, and a stocked kitchen; everything you need for cooking gourmet meals.

    Outside, we have a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs, a gas grill, and charcoal grill.

    For entertainment, we offer a smart TV and high speed, broadband internet/wifi. We also have audiophile quality bluetooth speakers and turntable. Bring your records!

A beautiful peaceful spot. It snowed both days of our stay and we loved watching the snow turn the surrounding trees into a magical place while we stayed cozy and warm. The long driveway and path were plowed both days and we had no trouble reaching the road, which was also plowed.

What a lovely place to stay and relax. So beautiful, looking out on the trees surrounding the property, seeing the wildlife, and enjoying the calm. A very well equipped place to stay. Wonderful!

Perfect stay for us!

We so enjoyed the quiet, off the beaten path of this location. Just what was ordered for rest and relaxation! Felt like I was back in my hometown driving in the country. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and many extras make this cabin a great find! You won’t regret choosing this property.

Lovely girls’ weekend

Cozy space to spend a girls’ weekend w my two college friends! Comfy and well decorated living and dining spaces, nice deck and firepit area in a well maintained yard, plenty of pots, utensils, plates, etc. for making dinners and staying in. Also close to Woodstock and Kingston--we enjoyed exploring both towns. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Catskills with family

Property owner was very responsive and easily accessible. Our power was out when we got there and we were provided updates as to when everything would be restored in a timely manner. House was clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay around West Shokan.

We enjoyed our stay

mornings on the deck under the umbrella was a great way to start the day. powerful shower to help get me ready for hiking at the Ashkoban Reservoir and around the Brown Fountain. Not too far a drive to downtown Woodstock. Hickory BBQ has delicious food. Bring your streaming passwords for the smart TV. ceiling fan and air conditioners kept us comfortable.

Great getaway cabin!

One of the cleanest rentals I have ever stayed at! So very quiet and great views. Loved listening to all the birds sing outside. Check in/out was easy and the host left a book of things to do and attractions. Lots of little pluses like soap, condiments, multiple coffee makers, and puzzles! Deck looked brand new and cabin in great location near some nice walks/hikes. Great communication with the host! A very cozy retreat to relax and recharge! Plus our two dogs got to join us as well, they got to relax too!

Relaxing Cabin Getaway

Wow! I have to start off by saying that we couldn’t be happier with our stay! The property is so spacious, clean, comfortable, and beautifully rustic for my family (and doggy!). We utilized every part of this cabin; the kitchen is fully stocked, the fireplace and fire pit was very nearly set up for us, the shower water pressure was HEAVENLY, the rooms were incredibly cozy, everything was just perfect. Additionally, there was plenty to do in the area within less than an hour radius. We visited several wineries/breweries, went skiing/snow tubing in Hunter mountain, visited charming shops and restaurants in Kingston and Beacon (both with Hudson River views). All in all we really couldn’t be happier with our experience. Thank you again and we hope to return in the future!

We love this place!

This was something like our fourth stay in the cabin, and we continue to absolutely love it. Clean, comfy, cozy, aesthetically pleasing (Catskills + art), great kitchen equipment, really thoughtful and available property manager and hosts. Our little dog comes with me and my five-year-old daughter, and we're grateful she can -- and that the place doesn't scream "dog-friendly." If you don't have dogs, you won't realize that anyone else ever did. Beds and bedding clean, fragrance-free (per our request, but maybe always), cozy (feather beds!), and super comfortable. We sometimes have friends stay with us in the second bedroom, and they love it too. The fire pit and wood burning stove are both excellent, and wood is readily available. What else? Can't think of anything. We are huge fans!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kim's cottage. The property was perfectly engulfed in nature. It was far enough but also close to local area attractions and Woodstock. The hiking trails are very close by and some of the most beautiful we have seen upstate. The cottage was stocked with everything (and more) that you could need. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay!

Woodstock area Cabin

This house and property is gorgeous, quiet, and relaxing. We all loved our stay here. We did wish it was a bit closer to Woodstock as we had plans in town, but we would definitely stay here again. It was a lovely weekend!
