"Restaurant on-site required reservation so could not dine there. Fortunately, the staff who handled our check-in gave us very good suggestions on where to dine as we reached the hotel after 8 pm. Complimentary water, apple juice and cookies were nice extras. Liquid soap, shampoo, etc., were good and produced locally. Beds and beddings were very comfortable"

If anything the onsens were even more enjoyable in the cold weather, and we were grateful to have the opportunity to stay in such a historic and well-kept ryokan. "
