"The room & amenities were very basic but functional. A little strange that check-in was a hotel 20 walking minutes from the apartment building. Location was terrific - just outside the castle grounds and beautiful park and a short walk to the Higashi Chaya geisha district. The residents were friendly and helpful and friendly and the city was very lovely and not the bustle of Tokyo"

Property manager did not email me until 11am the day of checkin with any information about our stay, did not respond to multiple emails, a text message and phone call. Their phone is only answered during “business hours,” which apparently does not include 9am on a weekday. When I made the reservation and paid for it, I was told I would receive an email from the property 48 hours before arrival. I had to get VRBO involved and they could not...
