Yes plenty of shops to get and do everything you like, massages, food, there is an amazing flea market just a couple blocks over behind but you wont see it on the main road. So many hidden gems in this neighborhood.

APA Hotel was a great stay overall. The room was very clean and well maintained, and the location was super convenient with easy access to transit and nearby shops. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made check-in and the whole stay smooth. I especially liked the smart layout, being able to store my luggage underneath the bed was a big plus and made the small room feel much more spacious. Comfortable, practical, and perfect for a city stay.

I stayed in several APA hotels during my trip to Japan and it wonderful. While the rooms are not large, they’re very efficient. The bed was comfortable and the amenities they provided such as fresh towels daily, small toiletries such as tooth brushes, shower caps, and cotton swabs were so so appreciated and convenient! There is shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided that I was able to use even with very sensitive skin! This location is quiet, but very well located! The staff were incredibly helpful and patient with me when working through my limited Japanese and there always seemed to be someone on staff who was fluent and able to step in and help if needed. When I come back to Japan, I’ll be staying in an APA property!

Perfectly clean room, absolutely helpful and polite receptionists. The hotel is in a perfect location, some minutes walk from the Metro station, JR railway station, and the biggest market of Tokyo. There are very good restaurants nearby. We were totally satisfied with the hotel. I definitely will go back to this hotel when I am in Tokyo next time.

This hotel is a great place to stay. The location is very convenient to Ueno and all that comes with that area. It is all very walkable but if that’s not your thing the ginza line and the yamanote line are both right there.
