3. Humble Administrator's Garden

The Humble Administrator's Garden is the largest garden in Suzhou and one of the city’s most famous attractions. Encompassing 13 acres (5 hectares), the garden is dotted with lovely bamboo groves, pavilions, lotus ponds and bridges. Be sure to visit its small museum, which is dedicated to the aesthetics of Chinese gardens.

4. Xuanwu Lake Park

The lake in the center of the huge Xuan Wu Lake Park is crisscrossed with bridges and dotted with islands, which you can spend hours exploring. Walk among the cherry blossoms and weeping willows of the gardens and enjoy the architecture of pagodas and pavilions.

5. Nanjing Presidential Palace

For more than 600 years the Nanjing Presidential Palace served as a home and office for some of the country’s most important political figures. 6. Suzhou Museum
