The Raptors

Hotel was very nice (although a good deal of construction going on), but I was a bit concerned about the area as we traveled in after dark. The neighborhood was not as upscale as pictured on the website. Uber driver had a hard time finding the correct location for drop off. There was nowhere to easily take luggage into the lobby. All entrances required dragging them up stairs Breakfast was nice.

The property was in a great location. Unfortunately, when we checked into our room, there was a strong smell of tobacco smoke. The front desk attendant came to the room and confirmed the odor. As the property was fully booked, or our rental company’s room allocation was exhausted, they were unable to move us to another room. Instead, they sprayed air freshener in the room and left the spray bottle with us. On the Saturday, another member of staff contacted us to apologise again and asked for permission to enter the room. We agreed, and they also left a can of air freshener in an attempt to help dissipate the smell. We understand that situations like this can occasionally occur. However, given the nightly rate we paid for the accommodation, we did not feel that this was an acceptable standard, particularly as we were unable to be moved to a smoke-free room for the duration of our stay.

The location is excellent. The amenities are pretty sparse.
