"They said the cooker was broken however we feel that they should have had someone to repair it asap. We understood there was no Tv or wifi but in this day and age anything is possible even if you have to raise the price. We were not told about electricity that it was a key meter it was only when an alarm was going off we traced it to electric box to find there was only 50p left on it we put key on and it added another £15 which went nowhere these are very expensive devices. "This is a wonderful property that was a pleasure to stay in. It has so many lovely features and nice touches. The kitchen is very well equipped and the communal area is particularly pleasing. "Fantastic situation which suited us and our 2 dogs perfectly. You need to be organised with food due to the nearest shop being over 30 miles away but that being said we found some fantastic eateries on our road trips around the area. The negatives are that the ceiling are very low the stairs awkward and narrow and the condition is basic. Take chairs with you so that you can enjoy the sun trap garden. Luckily we had really good weather (last week in Apri)"

My only complaint would be a lack of some sundries, such as there were only a few toilet rolls between us 7 adults and 2 children - 2 out of the 3 bathrooms we used ran out of toilet paper. "A lovely guest house, with a very pleasant and accommodating owner. Our room, although fairly small, was clean and comfortable. We were given access to a lovely sitting room and, as we were the only guests staying at the time, we really appreciated that we could just put our pj's on and relax in front of a roaring log burner. To add to the experience, we were told to help ourselves to some lovely single malt whiskey, which was a lovely touch. Only one of us drinks alcohol and I really enjoyed the 'wee dram'. Breakfast was excellent, complete with home-made jams and marmalade. We opted for a lighter breakfast of eggs, from the owners chickens which were lovely. After days travelling and indulging in the full Scottish breakfast, a simple breakfast was a real treat. We would highly recommend the guest house. Thank you."
