About this property

Smith Rock Hideout - Cascade mountain views!

  • Just 8 minutes to Smith Rock, the Hideout is a cozy retreat for climbers, hikers, trail runners, and anyone wanting to unplug and explore the beauty of Central Oregon. Take in the views of farmlands and the Cascade mountains beyond from the covered porch and upper level bedroom. Perfect for 1-3 guests.

The Hideout is my personal climbing retreat. While away, I’m happy to share it with outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy creature comforts after a day of getting after it outdoors.

There is something magical about the Hideout, the daybed with views of the Cascade mountains is the perfect spot to rest, write, dream and rejuvenate for whatever adventure lies ahead. Wifi is provided and there is decent cell service in the area. There is a blue tooth speaker, and Roku TV, and guitar if you feel so inclined.

For recovery, a yoga mat and foam roller are provided. We also have a small cooler for guests to use on outings.

The only trouble getting into the house, was that I couldn't access my email at the property to find the lock code. Trying to contact Expedia and Vrbo was futile. The sites wouldn't connect me to the host either, and didn't seem to recognize that I had a reservation already beginning. Basically, poor online support. The bed was very soft, which I liked. However, someone who needs more support might not be comfortable. The day bed downstairs was firm. It was a quiet location and not far from Smith Rock.

Fantastic

It felt like home when i walked in and it went up from there. Beautiful view, comfy window seat - didn’t use the couch once. I thought the bed & pillows were very comfortable. Quiet neighborhood, good sense of privacy. I'm a female solo traveler and felt safe. Really, nothing wrong with the place, only good.
