"We really enjoyed staying in a real house in a real neighborhood for our trip to Kyoto. There was plenty of room for our small family, and we felt we had a more authentic visit to this beautiful city. A couple things to note for those who read reviews is that the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and narrow, and I worried for my husband navigating them in the dark at night. "まだ改装されて半年程のため室内はとても綺麗でした。オーナーについてや注意事項等がファイリングされておりわかりやすかった。 民家に隣接しているので物音など少し気を使いました。 一般のテレビは設置されていないので流し見したかったのは少し残念ですがまた利用したいと思いました。"

"Tradition ancient Kyoto-style house in great location. Parking space right outside the house. Spacious living room and bedroom. Well equipped kitchen with tableware, cookware and seasonings. Narrow and slanting staircase to 2F so must be very careful when walking up and down."

"The bathroom was incredibly unique and beautiful! The amenities were excellent (the washing machine was a bit difficult to inderstqnd and launch correctly though^^)"

"Great location. If you’re looking for a true Japanese experience for your stay in Kyoto this is the place! "

"Great stay "

"The house was great and in perfect condition. Great location as it is 3 min from the Inari shrine and close to the train station which is always helpful. Nothing to complain about except 1 thing: there was no pool table as shown on the photos and we were not told about it. The guy who gave us the keys told us it is being fixed, which is fine but we would have prefered to know beforehand as we were very excited about it. "

"Great Machiya property, highly recommended."
