Harris Croft Farm is peacefully situated with rural views, and provides an ideal holiday location from which to explore the beautiful countryside of Wiltshire. Horse livery and stabling is available with prior arrangement with the owner. Nearby, Royal Wootton Bassett is a market town with a good selection of pubs, shops and restaurants. With easy access to the M4 it is an ideal base for exploring the attractions of Wiltshire and beyond, with nearby historical houses, museums and heritage sites. Explore Bristol, Bath, Longleat House and Safari Park and a wealth of restaurants and gourmet pubs. Nearby lakes and cycle paths provide ideal opportunities for walking, cycling and observing nature. Stonehenge and Avebury are also close by. For the more adventurous why not try your hand at skydiving with Skydive Netheravon. Aerosaurus balloons take off from the Larmer Tree Gardens, for spectacular views over the Cranborne Chase. Lovely holiday overall & in a great location. The place was spotlessly clean & the kitchen equipment was certainly adequate. Our dog enjoyed the fantastic local walks from the front door down to the canal & railway bridge. The only reason we have marked down on comfort & equipment is due to the seating, which was quite uncomfortable when watching TV. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Had a lovely time here. Very clean and perfect for what we were looking for. My son had the double bed as we were worried about dogs causing a noise by being kept downstairs and sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable but that didn't stop us from thoroughly enjoying our stay!  Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Two night stay with kids and a dog to visit family in area. Property is located just off the main road, pretty rural setting yet 10 minute walk to local amenities. The property has one good sized double, a sofa bed in the lounge and plenty of space to house a cot if needed. Small enclosed garden but some good open walks for the dog, be prepared to get muddy though. Well stocked kitchen with tea and coffee. Pleasantly surprised to find a washing machine too. Plenty of easy parking in front and a small shared grassy area where dogs are allowed. The road to shops is mostly single track and not a great walk with kids and a dog but is 3 mins in the car. The property provided a comfortable stay and we would recommend it.

The Swallows was a lovely cosy cottage with an enclosed outdoor space at the back and alongside some other pretty cottages set on a farm which was out in the country enough for dog walks/runs without being out in the middle of nowhere. Myself, my husband and teenage son spent a week here using it as a base for visiting our daughter who is studying in Bath University and we did a few other things nearby such as the butterfly zoo and centre farm and the Swindon shopping outlet. We were all very comfortable in the cottage (including the dog) and had everything we needed, I would highly recommend it if you want a rural retreat which isn't miles from anywhere and I'm sure there are other places to see if you don't have a dog with you i.e. Longleat /stonehenge too.

Beautiful little cottage, spotlessly clean. Very well designed and equipped. Dog walking was easy with walks right outside the gate. Only suggestion I would offer is more information on the property for people staying. I didn’t know where the bins where until the final day and I met the cleaner ( thank you for such an immaculately clean place to stay) There May have been WiFi but I couldn’t find a code anywhere. Just a bit of info would have been extra helpful. I would happily stay here again. I’m fact, I’d happily live in one of the properties. Plenty of parking, easy to find ( thanks for the very good directions) Would recommend The Swallows 100%.

We loved our stay here, it was warm, clean and ideal for our trip down memory lane. The dog enjoyed his stay too, little touches like the dog biscuits and a stair gate were very much appreciated! An individual outside space was great too. Only downside...no sieve! No good to rinse pasta! But we would happily go back. It was lovely!!

Swallows cottage was a really lovely place to stay so clean it was spacious enough for me my wife and border collie The great option is you dont always have to go out for meals it was great to cook indoors. Also good to have a bathroom upstairs as well as down. This is a great location to Royal Wootton Bassett and other places of interest. Would definitely recommend this place. We loved our time there.

Weather could have been better, Woottonn Bassett is a lovely town,and the designer outlet in Swindon was great. Good place to explore Wiltshire and the Cotswolds, plenty of dog friendly pubs, would visit again.

Very clean and tidy cottage with everything we needed and good areas near by to walk our dogs. The only negative we had was that some building work was going on outside our lounge window which wasn't a major problem but it would have been nice if the builders had left starting works until a reasonable hour and not 07.00 in the morning. Would definitely recommend to others.
