"The hot water was brown. I didn’t really want to take a shower once I saw that. It’s a bummer because I felt gross from the airport. Cool place but not too happy. When I asked for a late checkout the staff called me 2 times and came to my room to ask me questions so it wasn’t worth it since I didn’t get to sleep another hour and a half. Staff was kind though. "

"I was here for one night. The room just gave off an eerie feeling. Felt like there was a lot of empty space, and a big red stain on the carpet near the bed. I felt a little catfished by the pictures online, but I made due and tried to just ignore it. I’ve stayed at the Westin across the way, and felt like I was completely safe. So I thought why not book this one. Felt like I was in a motel when I got to my room. Overall, staff was nice when checking in + valet was helpful. They tweak the valet pricing when you receive your invoice at the end. They said it’d be $55 or so for valet and it ended up being $95 after all of their crazy fees! "

"I stayed at this hotel from Feb 27th to March 3rd. My main complaint is that after our stay, the receptionist refused to return my $100 cash deposit, claiming our room smelled like weed and threatening to charge an additional $150 to my card. At no time did we smoke inside the room—my girlfriend and I always smoked outside in the balcony hallways, as did other guests. When my girlfriend tried to check out, the receptionist delayed the process, saying we needed to return the key cards and wait for the person who booked the room. When I arrived for the deposit, I was confronted about the alleged smell. I denied smoking inside, but the receptionist accused me of being abusive to my girlfriend, which both of us said was untrue. She threatened to call the police but never did, so I called them myself. The officers later told me there might be a $150 charge due to the smell, but I still never got my $100 deposit back. This delay caused me to miss my flight, forcing me to wait at the airport all day for a new flight. I want to emphasize that, aside from this incident, the rest of the staff—especially Rocio from housekeeping—was great. However, this experience left a negative impression. Being accused without evidence and losing my deposit ruined what had otherwise been a good stay, and I would not return to this hotel or recommend Los Angeles based on this experience. "

"Honestly a good cheap place for downtown LA and a good spot in between Chinatown, Little Tokyo, City Hall, and the Mexican Plaza. They are under construction right now. The prices honestly matched what I was expecting, so no surprise there. I hope even after they finish constuction, that theh keep prices low/reasonable. New Air conditioning/heating system in the room. "
