Located along the Manifold Cycle Track, Wren Cottage is semi-detached and can be found on the southern fringe of the Peak District National Park, between the traditional market towns of Leek and Ashbourne and a short distance from the village of Waterhouses.
The owner lives on-site and is on hand, if you need advice or assistance during your stay. There is also ample walking and cycling direct from the doorstep and bikes can be hired nearby, or the owners cann provide two push bikes but you will need to bring your own helmets, perfect to take advantage of the unique location. For those who don’t want to travel with bikes, cycle hire is conveniently available at the beginning of the Manifold Track.
At the end of a busy day, sit back in the garden relax and enjoy the surrounding environment in peace and quiet. Waterhouses is just 1½ miles away and offers a selection of shops, pubs and places to eat. Leek and Ashbourne can both be reached in around 20 minutes and provide ample amenities together with cobbled streets, well-preserved architecture and fascinating heritage. For thrill seekers and family days out, Alton Towers is also around 20 minutes with its theme park, waterpark and spa. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
