"A lovely hotel in the most perfect of areas for exploring everything Durham. A little more tea and little checks of the room would’ve made it super. Only other slight disappointment was only small amounts of fruit at breakfast. Everything else was lovely including staff and general upkeep of hotel itself. Thank you for a great stay"

"So welcoming. Staff very polite and friendly. Food amazing including breakfast but we just couldn’t eat it all! Portions were very generous. It would have been helpful to have handwashing or soap on the sink, but luckily I had brought some with me. Shower gel was available. Bed very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay so thank you x"

"Langley Castle is stunning, we are staying in one of the outside rooms, lovely large room with everything that we need. Lovely grounds, with a Peacock in . Outstanding food & interior of the castle, staff are very friendly too. You can even go on a tour of the castle."

"Had a fantastic weekend at the Ramside whilst visiting friends in the area. Room was lovely. Clean, comfortable and the bathroom was stunning. Lovely view across the green to the treehouses. Very quiet we will definitely be back "

"The hotel is quite dated which adds a lot of character to the property. The general areas are relatively clean but the room we were booked in has seen better days. There were some cobwebs near the windows and the floor was a bit dusty. We arrived almost midnight and quite tired so didn’t really do a complete check of the room. We did notice that one of the tv remotes were missing so I let the nightporter know. In the morning, breakfast was standard spread. All the hotel and restaurant staff we come across with at this property were really good and seemed to enjoy their work and makes for a very pleasant stay indeed."
