Check in took a long time to achieve. Overall a nice place.

Very clean. Comfy, queen-size bed with crisp white linen. Lovely, helpful staff, and an excellent location a couple of minutes' walk to the main beach, the town with bars and resaurants, and the train station across the road. But the hotel needs some TLC - the bathroom door didn't shut, the toilet rocked when sat on, there were flickering lights above the basin, and the floors were worn. The air con was powerful, but very noisy as it clicked on and off, so we had to turn it off in the middle of the night. But you get what you pay for - the price was very reasonable for the location. There is no parking, so bear in mind it costs €25 on top of the room price to stay in one of the underground car parks over night, which are very nearby. St Jean de Luz is a fun, friendly town, with safe bathing in the bay - definitely worth a visit!

Lovely hotel. Quiet. Even with a wedding, you cannot hear anything because windows are soundproof. The only negative is that the air conditioning us centrally controlled by thr manager, who is not often on site…and so we were very hot and could not use the air conditioning. We had the “fan” option; but turning around hot air is not ideal.
