"Arrived Friday afternoon to find the outdoor pool water was cloudy and green. Was told by front office staff member Scott it was my choice to swim in it or not. My 6 year old granddaughter was very unhappy with this result. The road construction in front of the hotel with orange cones. Made it difficult to enter and exit, not the fault of the hotel. No white milk on Saturday morning, so no cereal and Sunday no sugar for coffee."

"The hotel was quiet, clean, and well maintained throughout - inside and outside (from what we saw, as we did not visit the pool or exercise room for example). Breakfast was as one would expect; well stocked with the typical budget friendly hotel options. The dinning area was adequately clean as well. For the cost of our stay: one night @ 150, I would score the execution by hotel management, and more importantly their hard working staff members as an A-. Well done. Travelers you can stay here...

"After decades of coming to Southport we just stayed here for the first time for our last minute day trip. Loved staying here and will come back. Just far enough away to be peaceful but close enough to be in the middle of downtown in 2 minutes! Room was clean and well stocked. Pool and beach access were well kept and convenient."
