As a tourist who likes to walk and take in every possible sight, the location in the city center , could not have been better. In addition , it was surrounded by small restaurants offering almost every ethnic food one could think of, as well as many countless traditional pubs. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel every morning, and everything from special coffees, continental breakfast along with the English...

「Jack was a lovely host, very helpful, especially with suitcase carrying to & from the room. Snacks etc. always available on a help yourself basis. Good local knowledge regarding places to visit. Kindly lent us some season tickets to various tourist attractions at no cost to us. Highly recommended venue and host.」

「There was a capsule coffee maker in the room, milk was available at the reception and could be put in the mini fridge in the room. The bed was comfortable.」

「Jorvik House was a great stay for our overnight trip in York and was centrally located but away from the crowds of the city. The room was well appointed and quiet, and we had the best night’s sleep of our entire 3-week UK trip in the very comfortable bed! The only fault of our stay is the lack of clarity around the parking at the property - we weren’t aware of the parking situation before we arrived and the closest car park was £25 per night. 」
