「Agreed with all comments about the exceptional home made style breakfast. However, the second night there was a group playing guitar and singing. With over 200 years house, this was not welcomed especially after a tiring long ski day. Phoned hotel and also Expedia on that same night but both myself and Expedia could not get hold off host for resolution. 「What a lovely hotel, with the beautiful Connecticut River right next to it. I stayed for six nights and loved waking up to that pretty view. Pleasant and attentive staff, provided recommendations for dining when asked. Bed was comfortable for a nice sleep. Clean room and premises. Highly recommend it. 」

「If you are looking for up-to-the-minute decor, this is not the place for you. But our hosts' warm welcome and happy atmosphere worked for us. The dinner restaurant recommendation was great (Ye Olde Tavern), our host-prepared-breakfast (eggs to order) was excellent. The beds seemed a little soft but were totally comfortable, the inn was quiet and we slept like rocks.
