"Stayed one night on the way to Seville, and the room was very comfortable, exactly as indicated online, and the location was great. The rooftop bar is lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. Exactly what you would expect from a hotel in this bracket. We had a standard double room with interior view, which is to say a view of the light well that all interior rooms look onto. The large window is offset from the sleeping space, so you could open the curtains if you wanted to with compromising privacy. It provides a nice amount of natural light and the room’s fit out is classy enough to make it feel snug and cozy, not second-rate by any means. All the standard touches are in place - coffee, tea, (paid) mini bar, robes, slippers. Very civilised checkout time. Would stay again."

"Great location for seeing Bilbao on short 2 night stay, staff welcoming. Clean. Quiet considering busy hub for buses with local people coming and going to work. Glad to have had own bathroom in hostel type stay. Busy place probably do to convenient location."

"Very much a luxury hotel, we had a junior suite for a family of 3 and it was more than enough space. All the staff were great and we had everything we needed. In a great location between Guggenheim and the old town. One small point that as it’s in the centre of the town, it was a little noisy at times. The rooftop bar was lovely."

"The room was a great size and nice quality bedding and towels. Great shower. Not much available in terms of food and drink. They offer a continental breakfast (which I didn't have time for) but no restaurant. Some limited beverages available at check in desk. I'd happily stay there again."

"We have stayed at this LASALA in San Sebastian many times in the past 8 years and have rated it one of our top hotels in Europe. No longer. From the moment we entered we were aware of a coldness and lack of excitement. Being told to sit in low lying seats for reception and check in, signing a list of “hotel rules” almost being lectured by the staff on what to do and not to do put all of us in a contradictory and defensive mood. Looking around the lobby and restaurant we noticed no one was there. And this was true over the 5 days of our stay. When questioning the staff they appeared timid and unsure to make any comments other than changes in both decor and walk in policy for dining or cocktail had been made. The hotel went from an atmosphere of high end vibrancy to dull lifelessness. The menu offered was limited and the food was marginal. Let me also emphasize a few things. The hotel was clean and the restaurant, rooftop bar, and cleaning staff were very good. Reception staff was not cold to say the least."

"Pool not open in 38 degree heat which was disappointing but understand they have seasons. Breakfast was ok. Location not great but bus stops right outside with one every 15 minutes. Clean and reasonable hotel."

"All was well except for-the disappearance of the hotel airport shuttle upon our airport arrival. It is not well marked nor consistent about keeping a schedule. I would advise all tired travelers to take a taxi ( very inexpensive) and save yourselves the trouble of connecting with the “mystery “ shuttle."
