Top South Suburbs Hotel Reviews
River Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Property was a little outdated however the river view and the location cannot be beat. We got to see the bridges go up to let sailboats in from our window. The only thing that ruins the view is the huge Fascist Dictator tower right in front of this building. Other than that, location was excellent for a tourist base for Chicago."
The Chicago Hotel Collection River North
8/10 Good
"I feel like we were catfished by the hotel. The bar that is supposedly in the hotel is not open and the lobby is empty of any amenities other than a TV playing movies. The staff wasn't friendly. They were polite when you draw their attention but they aren't going to interact with you unless you start the conversation. My husband and I stood at the front door trying to figure out how to get inside because some of the signage was confusing and when we call the phone number for the hotel there was no answer even though we could eventually see someone sitting at the front desk. Our room had several pieces of hardware that was not securely attached to the wall and the tile was chipped in the bathroom. The bed wasn't attached to the wall and squeaked anytime there was movement. Two days of our four day stay our room was not cleaned by housekeeping. The extras package is not available at the hotel location but at it's sister locations in other parts of the city so be mindful if you purchase it. The room was small but clean at check in. The L tracks run past the hotel so there is some train noise but it fades into the background as time passes. Overall the hotel is fine if you just want to have a place to sleep/shower. It's a nicer hostel and the L station is a 5 minute walk."

Fairmont Chicago at Millennium Park
10/10 Excellent
"Well appointed rooms, kind staff, and very responsive"
Hilton Chicago
10/10 Excellent
"Clean and spacious rooms."
The Godfrey Hotel Chicago
8/10 Good
"It was a great stay except for the fact that the toilet in the room made a lot of noise when it wasn’t being used - every 45 min or so it would make a loud noise"
The Chicago Hotel Collection Ambassador Gold Coast
8/10 Good
"The hotel is in a nice neighborhood and the room was clean. The bed and toilet were both very low to the ground, and there were very few electrical outlets, but otherwise it was a pleasant stay."
The Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown
10/10 Excellent
"Staff was amazing!! They were all so kind and attentive! I enjoyed my stay so much and I’m looking on planning another trip just to stay at this hotel!"
Club Quarters Hotel, Central Loop, Chicago
10/10 Excellent
"CQ is a reliable brand as this property demonstrated. I was particularly pleased with the size of the room and fitness facility. Best CQ I have stayed at and would return. Two quibbles: No desk lamp, therefore a dark work area and no hand soap (use body gel? I bring my own). Housekeeping excellent."
