Hostels in South Korea

"Very convenient location to Hongdae and subway line 2/4/5, lots of restaurants on the street below, but be aware there are slopes and the hostel has stairs. Could be hard for large luggage. The owner Richard is really friendly and responsible. Basic communication in English/Chinese are both fine. Room itself is small but clean. Bathroom is separated from where you sleep but shower head is just above the toilet. Also only saw some small towels. Overall had a nice stay there. "

"I had a great stay in H Hostel while I was in Seoul. My room was small but very clean and in a good condition. I loved the fact that there was a small fridge in the room where you could put some snacks and drinks. The room also had slippers for you which was really nice! Would have been nice if there were a few more hangers on the rack to hang your clothes with (but I didn’t ask for them either). Shower facilities were great and water pressure was excellent. "Stayed here for 3 nights while in Sinchon. All the staff and the owner were extremely kind of helpful. There are tons of cafes & good restaurants nearby as well as Yonsei university. The building is very modern and there is a lot of shopping around as well if that's your thing. This is also the cheapest place in the area, but it didn't feel like a cheap place to me at all."

"I stayed here for 2 nights and for the price for Busan it was ok. Still quite expensive though. It got quite noisy at times from the hallway and the bathroom had some weird leaking pipes. But again, all fairly ok for the price, and it's a great location."

"Room was large and the AC kept it nice and cold. Having my own bathroom with a mini shower was a bonus. For $10 Canadian you can have your laundry done on site. Surrounding area was very hip and not at all touristy. "

"The guesthouse itself served its purpose for my overnight stay in the area. The bed was clean, and the staff was helpful and informative. The bathroom in my dorm was interesting in that if the sink ran too long, the floor flooded. Also, our dorm room door stayed unlocked the entire night. It wasn't a problem, but it defeated the purpose of giving us room keys. "

" I give this property an overall grade of 4 out of 5. The rooms may be not spacious compared to the hotels that I stayed and they don’t clean your room not after 4 days of stay. They can also improve their breakfast menu and their self serve laundry facility. However, they are located along the famous “Myeongdong Night Market” and “Myeongdong Cathedral”. "Great affordable accomodation. We had a family of five in a 6 bunk bed room. The lower bunks were larger than the tops. Shared bathrooms cleaned each day. Only gripe was the lack of tv in the room. But given the price, this was fine. The owner lady was nice and suggested some good places to visit."
