"Good hotel - near the no1 bus and its stop. That takes you to the ski resort or to the airport.staff were really lovely and helped in sourcing a taxi. Plenty of food at breakfast whatever the time. (We went at 6am and 9am). Down side: hotel rooms were tired, shower tray leaked, window frame was peeling. WiFi was intermittent. Overall great hotel with the staff and breakfast that made it 4 *"

"The place overlooks Lake Tekapo. It is hard to see the full lake from the cabin because there are trees blocking it, but if you walk a few minutes down, you can get stunning views of the lake. The place also has a no partying rule and complete quiet after 10:30pm. It is not very friendly for travelers without cars as the reception area is a 5-10 mins walk away and the roads are a bit rocky on some parts."

"We booked a family ensuite room at what we thought was a hostel for our one night in Queenstown not expecting much, and were very pleasantly surprised at how comfortable, clean, and just generally nice the room was. It happened to be the night that the World Cup semi final was on at 7 AM, but we couldn't get it on the TV in our room. The lovely lady at reception had no idea how to fix that, but found us another, empty room where we could watch the important game, which was absolutely above and beyond. Would return here in a heartbeat. (Also, even though we arrived about 10 PM, we were able to park almost right outside our room, in the height of ski season.)"
