While Eastland might not have many sights to explore, venturing just a little farther will lead you to top things to see and do like Magic Mountain Fun Center East and World Harvest Church.

It's exciting to have lived in this city for twenty years and still encounter under the radar fantastic finds! Inside a Thai grocer, in a small strip mall, is a nondescript white door with an adhesive sign above that reads 'entrance'. On the other side of that door is Bangkok Restaurant a super cute and inviting dining space with an abundance of friendly staff members. The menu is spiral bound with page after page of potential culinary delights. For this first trip, I went with a Thai iced tea and Pad Kee Mao, wide noodles with egg, hot chili, fresh basil, green onions, tomato, shrimp, and chicken. I'm by no means a Thai food connoisseur, but this dish was incredibly flavorful and very well composed. The Thai iced tea was refreshing with milk and maybe cinnamon? All of the food coming out of the kitchen was beautifully plated and made want to return again and again to check off more of their menu selections. #Trovember

"Recently rebranded from a DoubleTree it is obvious why it's no longer in the Hilton portfolio. The property hallways/doors are very worn and tired. The rooms were a bit worn but the bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was efficient and friendly. Easy access from the highway."
