"The suite is ground level with parking in the driveway for one car, which we really appreciated (no worries about trying to find parking on the street). We noticed right away how much the hosts care about the suite, it was spotless, tastefully decorated, and had all the necessities we could think of. The bedroom was large and bright with a king size bed that was comfortably firm. We didn't need to use the kitchen at all but saw that it would certainly be well equipped for an extended stay. It...

Sooke Harbour House

10/10 Excellent

"Great view from the balcony, great location and nearby attractions and restaurants. Room was cleanEnjoyed a truly slower-pace relaxed stay at the Sooke Harbour House. In-room hot tub was a nice touch. Definitely would consider going back again in the future."

SookePoint Ocean Cottage Resort

8/10 Good

"This is a mixed bag - a beautiful place to stay - right on the water with seals barking right outside. The two-bedroom unit we stayed in was lovely, very roomy, separate bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, with a wonderful view. But to be perfectly clear, it is NOT a resort and Therese are NOT cottages. They are condominiums, probably meant to be individually owned. There is no “resort” as such, no lobby, no amenities, no gathering spaces, pool or spa, or restaurant. Check-in is in a trailer as you enter the property. It is a long way from anything. One tavern and one small store within a 20 min drive. Everything else is in Sooke Harbor - a 35 min drive to get to restaurants, etc. the location is absolutely great for star-gazing - if they would turn off all the motion sensor lights and put covers on permanent lights it would be even better. We went out around 9:30 pm and could clearly see many constellations and even galaxies with a good pair of binoculars. I would encourage them to host star-gazing events for meteor showers -it was that good. So - if you do book, bring food and games, settle in and enjoy!"

Beautiful Basinview lookout - your new favorite destination

10/10 Excellent

"We absolutely loved this place! It’s one of those spaces where you walk in and immediately think, “Yep, they thought of everything.” It was exceptionally clean, beautifully designed, and stocked with pretty much every supply you could possibly need. The space feels private and tucked away, so it really does feel like your own little getaway, but you’re still conveniently close to town, which was the perfect combination for us. The hosts were also fantastic: super responsive, helpful, and clearly put a lot of thought into making the stay comfortable. The primary bed was incredibly comfortable with excellent linens and the bathroom felt spacious with nice little thoughtful touches. If I’m being boujee and ridiculously picky, a king size bed in the primary would be a big win, and a foam topper for the bunk bed mattress if you're hosting an adult in that room, but honestly those are minor details in an otherwise fantastic stay. 10/10 would absolutely recommend. We’d happily stay here again!"

Seascape Suite: Dock, Beach Access, & Free Kayaks!

10/10 Excellent

"It’s a great place, welcoming and well equipped. We loved the terrace, the view and the kayaks. The one problem is the sky light in the bedroom. It is crazy bright in the morning and uncomfortable eye mask are not doing the trick. For a couple like us that want to sleep in it’s a big no. Please put some kind of blinds on there. Also I would not have wanted to put the fan on with that much dust up there."
