"If you are looking for a fun time at the lake mixed with a glimpse of the 18th century way of life, this is it. Spectacular views, nature on the doorstep, fish, swim, kayak, paddle board or just relax on the porch. Comfy beds, clean linens and the cabin is a real slice of history (with heat and AC)We are planning trip #3."

"We’ve stayed at SML multiple times and this was by far our favorite house. Everything about the house was thoughtfully picked out to make a wonderful lake house. If we could own a home there, it would be this house. We wouldn’t change a thing to this place. The kitchen was fully stocked and has everything you need. The massive deck overlooking the lake was amazing. We enjoyed coffee in the shade while watching the sunrise. The dock was wonderful to sit on in the evening when it was shaded. Barbara was a joy to communicate with and provided ample information. We can’t wait to book again for a longer stay."

"We have traveled to many lakes and this was one of the best we've been to. House was gorgeous and more than enough space for us. Water level was really low due to drought but we were able to make it work. No issues with parking as there is plenty. Everything we needed was close to the house so we were able to shop as needed. With the two kitchens there is plenty of room to feed the family. If cooking wasn't in the plan there are plenty in the area. Restaurants in the area we nice and well accommodating for our size group. If you are looking for a good time at a lake with relaxing views and plenty of room this would be the house."

"Without a doubt the best rental experience we’ve ever had. This home provides everything you could possibly need or want for a relaxing vacation. We were with our adult children and granddaughter. Everyone had plenty of space to get away when necessary. The kitchen is so well equipped with nice quality cookware and appliances. Special touches throughout make this feel like a home and not just a vacation rental. The cozy blankets in both family rooms were a great touch. The baths have nice shower heads and water pressure. Two sets of W/D were great, especially with a baby! Can’t say enough about the outside living spaces. The dock area with bar was such a fun gathering spot…. Having a fridge at the dock was so convenient. The screened porch off of the kitchen was by far the favorite for morning coffee and enjoying the wonderful views. Thank you Nancy and Ken for sharing your beautiful home."

"The property is good fit for my family .Check in was difficult . I called previous “owner/agent” because they were still listed on my email. The code was incorrect and a storm was approaching. My daughter got someone on ring camera . They acted like we entered the wrong code but we used code I was given . That could be smoother and correct numbers on email. We really enjoy this property and location and plan to return . Thank you."
