See the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science, the Visual Arts Center, the Kirby Science Discovery Center, the memorial to the World War II USS South Dakota, the Great Plains Zoo, the Husby Performing Arts Center, the Delbridge Museum and the Old Courthouse Museum with historic exhibits and live concerts.
For nature lovers, there are woodland, wetland and agricultural landscapes to explore. Enjoy a day at the Great Bear Recreation Park where you can ski in winter and hike in summer. Be mesmerized by butterflies and meet colorful sea creatures at the Sertoma Butterfly House & Marine Cove. Jog, in-line skate, walk or bike along the Big Sioux River and recreational greenway, and visit the Loess Mountain Range where you can spot deer and other wildlife.
