"The hotel is situated on a hilltop overlooking the Greater Guadalajara area. It is very quiet and peaceful here. The hotel appears to not have been renovated in quite some time and is a bit "rustic". The staff here was quite attentive to our needs, especially the restaurant staff. I should note that due to the secluded nature of the hotel, you are pretty much dependent on the restaurant for your dining. The food prices are reasonable. The pool is large and was clean, however it does need maintenance as there are many missing tiles. All in all, what the property lacks is terms of being in tip-top shape is offset by the peacefulness and outstanding service. Keep in mind, the cost per night here is at least 20% less than what you will pay for a Motel 6 in the US. If you enjoy peace and quiet, this is a good choice. It is approximately 6 or 7 miles from the city center. We Ubered when we went to see the city. Uber rides are very reasonable in Guadalajara, about $5 - $7 USD per ride. Taxis are the only transportation allowed into the airport. A taxi ride to and from the airport was approximately $22 USD ($400 MXN). We were in Guadalajara for one week for a wedding and our trip was great! The people were friendly, helpful, and we felt safe the entire time."
