Wish we could stay longer. We were only there for one evening. We arrived later in the evening and just grabbed our keys in front of the office, which was closed. Not an issue - there was a provided phone/whatsapp number for the staff who picked up right away and was on-site anyways. Loved the new renovations, including the new heating/lighting in the bathroom - welcome features as we visited during winter. Great place to stay after a day on the Great Ocean Road. Easy check in, plenty of parking, local restaurants a few minutes walk. Very quiet

Parking was really tight, but you are right in front of your room! Just across the street is the beach and visitor center. Close to the stores and shops! Wonderful. Nice and quiet. Beds were comfortable. BEST SHOWER EVER!

Out of the 2 months we were travelling around Victoria, Motel Marengo was perhaps our pick. No because it was the best (we also stayed in some swanky digs as well which were better quality) but the value for money was good, the place was clean, the people running the place were friendly (and very helpful when we broke down before we had even checked in #nightmare!) and it was a treat to see lots of wild parrots around the place.
