Beautiful location, very comfortable room with an onsen in your bathroom. The private open air onsen is wonderful, one of the most peaceful moments of our trip. The hotel is architecturally gorgeous and the way it blends with nature is stunning.
Food is ok, there’s only one restaurant and you have to book breakfast and dinner - otherwise you have to walk to get something to eat as there’s nothing the kitchen can prepare which I find a bit disappointing after several hours traveling and feeling super tired. Dinner was great although for tourists not used to the style there could have been an explanation of the set menu which I found out later there were many dishes I was allergic to and couldn’t change.
Overall is a nice hotel for a one night stay but given above preparation is needed.
