"Very nice cabin in the Gifu mountains with a covered patio outside that’s fitted with a charcoal grill, sink, fire wood and a portable fire pit. The cabin was very clean, spacious, and well built with a unique taste. Two bedrooms on the second floor with a front facing sitting room. "Great and clean place with nice management. It`s not A 5 min walk from the station, but the 10 min stroll is quite pleasant, even in the heat or rain. We would stay here again. Just be sure to get the key code before arrival. Very roomy and the shower and other amenities were great. "

"This is the place to relax and have a recharge day in the middle of a trip. We checked in after a day of hiking and instantly relaxed, and decided to stay on property the next day. The onsen facilities were great, the buffet fantastic, the views beautiful, the staff very friendly. Make sure you either have plans during the day or a book to read, as there is nothing to do at the property between 9 and 3. I had a book and just spent a peaceful day reading in between onsen hours. Loved it, and would come back again if I visited that area."

"This hotel is the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at. The staff were helpful and always very friendly. The breakfast option was extraordinary, a private banquet of traditional Japanese dishes. The hot spring is beautiful, a rock pool flowing with healing water, always available. It is right on the Hida River which brings a soft tranquility. The walk into town is short, 15 or 20 minutes brings you to the center of town, with many dining options, temples and shrines. A truly memorable and relaxing experience."

"This is a hybrid between a Japanese style and western style hotel. You have to take your shoes off to approach the reception and to go up to your room, but then have the conundrum of how to roll your luggage up the ramp to reception (which starts from beyond the shoes off area), could have done without it when I arrived tired after my journey. Staff very friendly and speak English. The room was comfortable and I liked the onsen which I used twice. The breakfast buffet was very good."

"There's staff to welcome and orientate us upon arrival. And since it's a large hotel with 3 buildings, the staff briefed us and walked us to the building where our room was. Nice breakfast and we have 3 onsens to choose from! It's also conveniently located within walking distance or a short drive to the main sights at Gero. "
