"Very basic but even for the price the rooms were dusty. Cobwebs hanging off the walls. We had two nights due to a local wedding. Asked to move rooms because the mattress was terrible. Was told all the mattresses are the same and getting upgraded in the winter. Changed rooms, slightly better mattress. Even for a cheap night I'd expect no cobwebs / dust and a decent mattress. Won't go again."

"beautiful grounds, well kept, lovely historical building with old paintings, a piano in the fopyer, comfortable seating the bar, lounge and restaurant. rooms are exceptional, all staff are exceptional and local who know about Yorkshire. No riff raff!"

"Very dated . Stains in carpet . It was clearly a religious accommodation still with random people ataying . Bizarre It was fine for what we wanted but I wouldn’t return"
