"A perfect location for a solo retreat. The house is very rural and isolated, which is exactly what I was looking for. Check-in was as easy as could be, and communication with Allison was perfect. She answered all of my questions quickly and was a delight to work with. Because the property is so isolated, you will need to get supplies/provisions well before you arrive. It's a 30-minute drive to the Wal-Mart supercenter in Harrisburg, the closest town of any decent size. However, the spectacular full kitchen makes cooking easy. All cookware and cutlery are provided, as are a basic supply of spices focused on Italian cooking. If you like cooking Asian cuisine like stir-fry as I do, or Mexican, you'll need to bring your own spices. The hot tub is excellent and was a real treat in December.Watching TV during the day can be a bit problematic; with the current orientation of the TV, the sun coming in from the windows with a southern exposure creates a lot of glare on the screen. If you're out enjoying the Shawnee Forest during the day, you'll never encounter this very minor issue.I absolutely loved this house and the hosts. I would gladly stay here again. "Secluded location. Spacious rooms. Dish TV was nice. Location is conveniently close to the park and trails. Hot tub was wonderful but lacked some working jets. Host communicated well, answered questions quickly.We had access to a full kitchen where we prepared many of our meals."
