「The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular...

「The whole experience at the hotel was fantastic. The food was good, room was clean , the bed was comfy, the area is quiet and the staff were excellent. Ideal stop off for travelling from North to South.」

「A lovely welcome on arrival, room was very pleasant. Only downside was I would have preferred the breakfast buffet laid out on a table rather than the bar.」

「Staff were lovely unfortunately everything else wasn’t. Very noisy with the aircon or whatever it was outside the window. The shower door was hard to open and close. Needed a good clean in the room. Was very expensive for what it was. Pillows were awful. Won’t be going back.」
