「No wi fi for guests. Reported it, but was still not working when we left Both my wife and I ordered a bacon roll for breakfast. The bacon was massively over cooked. Couldn't cut it, couldn't chew it. Reported complaint to waitress who apologised, but that was it. Unlikely to stay again」

「Had a wonderful stay at The Retreat. Really relaxed atmosphere, gorgeous facilities and comfortable room. Only slight criticism was enough sun loungers by the outdoor pool, could definitely fit some more in so that people don’t have to sit on the grass. There was no one out there to ask for help, and it felt like there was no one really in charge. Same with the restaurant, it felt understaffed and so service was a bit lacking at times. But the staff who did serve us were very friendly....

「The food was very good and staff great. Grace was a wonderful server. The inn is certainly olde and genuine. Not a pretend olde . Rooms are very unusual with individual names. All are separate from the pub. Obviously the pub is the main venue for the local population. The room was modest size but had two TVs. The shower floods the bathroom. Not a big deal.」

「すごく大きなマナーハウスで、貴族になった気分？で快適に過ごせました。部屋も清潔で広いです。敷地も広く、ゴルフコースになっています。裏側にはお城の廃墟があり、散歩するととても気分がいいです。ロンドンではこのレベルは500ポンドくらいするでしょう。ロンドンから1時間くらいかけてもこちらに泊まったほうがいいです。」

「とっても素敵なホテルです！ホテルの受け付けはレストランのバーになります。ワンちゃんも一緒に泊まれるホテルなので、愛犬を連れてきている人も多かったです。ドッグランがあり、レストランにもワンちゃんが一緒に入れます。朝食は込みで、いくつかのメニューから選べます。（エッグベネディクト、イングリッシュオールインワン、サーモンなど。別でパンやシリアル、果物は自由です）ワンちゃん用のご飯も朝食会場にありました。 　ワンちゃんと一緒に泊まれるホテルですが、お部屋はとても綺麗で匂いもありません。冷蔵庫がなかったことが残念ですが、コーヒーマシーンやお水もセットされていて快適でした。　なんといっても周りがとっても静かで、ゆっくりするには最適です。　ただ周りにスーパーなどはないので、ホテルのレストランで夕食されることをおススメします。とっても美味しいです」

「High streetのど真ん中にあり、ロケーション最高。施設も綺麗。スタッフも最高。」

「Clean and tidy. Not too modernized decoration. Slightly dated facility but well maintained. Spacy room. Peaceful and quiet small village. Not very frequent public transport.On top of all very organized and friendly staff and brilliant restaurant.」
